The Saugerties Village Tree Commission invites artists to donate artwork for an Art Raffle Fundraiser to be held as part of Saugerties Earth Day Week. Donated works will be promoted online in addition to Raffle Day.
The Village of Saugerties Board of Trustees established the Tree Commission in recognition of the essential role Trees play in our community - improving air quality, reducing noise and visual pollution conserving energy, and helping moderate climate extremes.
Proceeds from the raffle will support the purchase and ongoing care of native trees, shrubs, and flowers on the Village streets, parks and pollinator gardens.
Raffle tickets are $100, and every ticket holder is guaranteed an original work of art! Works will be exhibited at the historic Dutch Barn at Kiersted House in the Village, with a lively reception for artists and collectors at the Raffle Drawing on Saturday, April 25th.
Your generosity helps grow a healthier, more resilient Saugerties--one tree at a time. Artists please email ArtEarthDay@gmail.com for more information on how to donate.
