The date and time are this Friday, April 17th at 6 p.m. The location, naturally ... The Saugerties Public Library.
Step into local history with Gus Pedersen as he brings the story of the Saugerties Public Library to life—from a grassroots reading room to an architectural landmark with a 1915 Carnegie grant.
For over a century, the people of Saugerties have funded and maintained their library—an enduring
example of democracy at work for the benefit of its residents.
Additionally, Executive Director of the Mid-Hudson Library System, Rebekkah Smith Aldrich, will explain how this network of 66 libraries developed and how it expands access to resources for our community.
A reception with wine and catered hors d'oeuvres will complement the program.
