War Causes Musician Change For This Sunday's Saugerties Pro Musica Concert
Saugerties Pro Musica Press Release – Italian Pianist Andrea canceled his American concert tour citing the Iranian conflict and general unease in the world.

In addition, Italian Pianist Andrea Turini canceled his American concert tour and his judging of a Chopin Piano Competition in mid-March feeling that it was not a safe time to be traveling.   Because of that, Saugerties Pro Musica almost canceled their March concert. However . . .

Replacing the solo piano concert on March 8 at 3 p.m. is our audience-favorite cellist, Ani Kalayjian.  Joining her is a newcomer to our stage, (but not the world’s!) violinist Filip Pogády.  Together these amazing musicians will perform a diverse program of string classics to be announced.  Join us in welcoming these old and new friends of Saugerties Pro Musica as they step up to the challenge of a last-minute concert.  These two seasoned musicians, who frequently perform together, are sure to deliver some great music on Sunday.

The concert is on Sunday, March 8, at 3 p.m. in Saugerties United Methodist Church, 67 Washington Avenue, Saugerties.  The concert is free.  Donations are accepted. Seating begins at 2:30.  A “Meet the Musicians” reception will follow the performance with free coffee and refreshments.  The church is wheelchair accessible and a very comfortable concert venue.  Saugerties Pro Musica is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit solely supported by contributions from local businesses, grants, and chamber music lovers.  For more information see our website www.saugertiespromusica.org or email info@saugertiespromusica.org or write PO Box 276 Saugerties NY 12477.
