Lifespring: Saugerties Adult Learning Community welcomes anyone from the area who would like to join us for our second Winter Presentation of the season. These interesting talks held via Zoom are free to attend for all who pre-register. The January Winter Presentation entitled "Inside Woodstock - Music, Culture, and Community” will be held on Wednesday, January 7th, 11:00 am - 12:30 pm.
Presented by Candace Rivela, Assistant Director of Museum Education and Creative Programs at Bethel Woods and drawing on highlights of Bethel Woods’ Main Exhibit and Special Exhibition, participants will discover the festival not only as a landmark music event but also as a vibrant creative community. The presenter will share images and videos from the collection, highlight key artifacts and performances, and pose thought-provoking questions to spark reflection and discussion. Attendees will experience the sights and sounds of the 1960s through original footage, photography, and music, while also uncovering the Bindy Bazaar, artisan culture, and tent cities that transformed farmland into a home for thousands.
